Cientifico Latino
They have a mentorship program for diverse graduate students as they begin their first year as graduate students. Each student accepted is paired with a mentor that can help them with starting their first year, choosing a PI, and many more obstacles that are present in graduate school. This program provides access to small mentorship groups, professional development workshops, and community events.
It is a great program and helps many students get the support they need in starting their first year of graduate school. Last year they were able to serve 101 mentees and had 50 mentors.
If you have not applied for graduate school yet, they also have a mentorship program for applying to graduate school called GSMI.
You can either apply to be a mentee if you are an incoming first-year graduate student or as a mentor if you are an advanced graduate students (3rd year onwards and passed their qualifying exam).
All applications will close on May 20.
